New Actual Cost Feature

Actual Cost Field in Digital Campaigns

M will now support two distinct campaign cost concepts: Planned Cost and Actual Cost. Prior to this release, M only displayed a single Cost field in the campaign budget section to capture a campaign's planned cost. This legacy field has been relabeled as Planned Cost.

A new field called Actual Cost has been added to the budget section. Marketers can actualize their campaigns costs by entering the cost amount in this new field. When an actual cost amount is saved, M will show a blue check mark next to the field. The cost summaries in the campaign screen will now display both Planned Cost and Actual Cost.

Actualization Option in Non-Digital and Other Spend Campaigns

For non-digital and Other Spend campaigns, marketers can enable actualized costs for the campaign by checking a new Actualize Cost checkbox. When this box is checked, M will automatically copy planned costs values as actual costs. This will minimize the minimize workflow steps required to actualize a non-digital campaign.

Actualization Fields in Ad Plan View

Marketers can now view and edit actual costs for non-digital campaigns in the Ad Plan view. Campaigns that have been actualized will be denoted with a check mark in the actualization column (i.e. Act.).

Actualization Fields in Invoice View

Marketers can view actual costs in the Invoice view as well as see which campaigns have been actualized before downloading a settlement PDF. Campaigns that have been actualized will be denoted with a check mark in Actualized column.

New Settlement Report Download Options

Marketers can now download the following settlement report options:

  • Projected (PDF): The Print Projected button allows users to download a settlement document based on planned costs. This is equivalent to the legacy PDFs that marketers downloaded before the release.

  • Actualized (PDF): The Print Actualized button allows users to download a settlement document based on campaign actual costs. For campaigns that have not been actualized, the report will include planned cost amounts.

  • Excel Version: The Excel button allows users to download an spreadsheet version of the settlement report. Most of the information included in settlement PDFs will be available.

Actualized Ad Plans in the Event Summary Tab

When all campaigns in an ad plan have been actualized, a new “Actualization” column in the Event Summary view will display a value of Completed.

Multiple Campaign Updates

Spotify Spotlight Updates

Two new Spotify Spotlight campaign business rules have been added:

  • Headliners is now a required field. Users cannot publish a campaign if at least one headliner value is not selected.

  • Campaign Publishing: M will only allow a user to publish a presale Spotlight campaign if the publish date is before Midnight (11:59pm) local time two days before the "Presale Start Date".

Reorganized the Associated Events Section in Master Campaign

The Associated Events section has been reorganized with new tabs that provides more space for each field in that view. We have added Timing and Targeting as new tabs and removed the Details tab.

New Option in Add Event Tour Feature

Marketers will now have the option to choose which ad plan they want to include when using the Add Event Tour feature in a master campaign. When a user clicks this option, they will be presented with a list of ad plan types they can select.

SMS Campaign Updates

When a user selects a short code from the Short Code field in an SMS campaign, default copy will be added to the Desired Copy and Link text field. The default copy will be the name of the short code selected followed by a colon “:” symbol. Additionally, a projected character counter will be added to this field to account for the appended default copy and any emojis added to the text by a user. If a user enters copy before selecting a short code, the default copy will be added at the beginning.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug impacting the Instagram Position that is pushed to JIRA

  • Fixed a front-end bug affecting the display of Event Date and Creative columns in Master Campaign.
