Email Content Builder Release Notes: June 1, 2026

This release of Email Content Builder focuses on improved reliability, performance, and usability, including updates to sign-in behavior, image uploads, test sends, and editor functionality.

What’s New in Email Content Builder

  • Improved Sign‑In Experience

    • Users will now remain signed in as long as their Microsoft session is active - background re-authentication reduces interruptions while working in the builder

    • Deep linking improved - navigating to a specific page while signed out will now return you to that page after signing in

    • Sign-out behavior has been improved to ensure users are fully logged out when expected

  • Image Upload Improvements

    • Each Business Unit now has a dedicated image folder

    • Upload button visibility has been improved:

      • Hidden when a Business Unit is not properly configured

      • Prevents upload-related errors

  • More Reliable Test Emails

    • Test sends now use the Business Unit’s Contact ID

    • Clear error messaging is now displayed if a Business Unit is not properly configured for test sends

  • Text Highlighting in Email Builder

    • Users can now highlight text in the rich text editor

    • Highlighted text will render correctly in the final email output - not just in preview

  • Expanded Date Formatting Options

    • Additional formatting options are now available when configuring date tokens in modules - supported formats include:

      • Monday

      • monday

      • MONDAY

  • Security & Stability Improvements

    • API rate limiting has been implemented to ensure consistent platform performance

    • HTML sanitization added to prevent unsafe or injected content

    • HSTS protection enabled to enforce secure connections

    • Additional bug fixes and stability improvements, including:

      • Source URL control edge cases

      • Sender Profile editing

      • Build and deployment pipeline reliability
